ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW BOARD MEETING
May 21, 2007
Board members present: Billy Howk, Jeannette Burger, and Jerry Anderson
Board members absent: Chairman Charlie Anderson and Scotty Lynch.
Vice-Chairman Jeannette Burger called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m. in the Town Hall.
The City Secretary read the minutes of the April 16 , 2007 meeting. Motion by Anderson to approve the minutes as read; second by Howk. Motion passed with all in favor.
The Board considered the following items:
•1. Election of Chairman and Vice-Chairman: Motion by Howk to elect Charlie Anderson to be Chairman for the next year; second by Anderson. Subsequent motion by Anderson to elect Jeannette Burger to be Vice-Chairman for the next year; second by Howk. Both motions passed with all in favor.
•2. Re-approval of building permit for home at 120 Days End Lane: Dana Weidemann of Round Top Properties was present to represent the item. After discussion of any changes to the previously approved permit, a motion was made by Anderson to approve the application for a Building Permit to construct a 1069 square foot residence at 120 Days End Lane, with the following conditions:
Second by Howk. Motion passed with all in favor.
•3. Guesthouse and outside stairway at 119 Cummins Creek Way: Linda Brunson was present to represent the item. After discussion of materials, paint color, position on the lot, and exterior lighting, a motion was made by Anderson to approve the application for a Building Permit to construct a 1050 square foot guesthouse and to add an outside stairway to the existing residence at 119 Cummins Creek Way, with the condition that the exterior lighting comply with the requirements of the Land Use Ordinance; second by Howk. Motion passed with all in favor.
•4. The City Secretary was asked whether there was a permit for the construction on Bybee Square. She replied that one had been granted in April of 2006. She then read a letter from Martha Sanders requesting that something be done about the exterior lights on the building at the corner of White and Austin Streets. Burger volunteered to speak with representatives of Texas Pioneer Arts Foundation about changing the lights.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 7:50 p.m.
