ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW BOARD MEETING
June 26, 2005
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Barnell Albers at 5:32 p.m. in the Town Hall.
Board members present were: Chairman Barnell Albers, Bill Zeltwanger, Charlie Anderson, and Jacquelyn Ditsler. Member Billy Howk was absent.
City Secretary, Linda Suggs, read the minutes of the June 15, 2005 meeting. Motion by Zeltwanger to approve the minutes as read; second by Ditsler. Motion passed with all in favor. A discussion ensued about progress on the tennis court situation.
The Board considered the following items:
•1. Construction of a three-car garage with attached guestroom and fences at 568 Murray Lane: Members reviewed the drawings and discussed the fences. Motion by Ditsler to approve the construction of the three-car garage with an attached guestroom, with the following conditions:
second by Anderson. Motion passed with all in favor.
Motion by Anderson to approve the repairs to the existing guestroom; second by Ditsler. Motion passed with all in favor.
Motion by Zeltwanger to approve construction of a privacy fence along the property line bordering the Konetzke property, with the following conditions:
1) that the maximum height shall be 6', in compliance with the Land Use Ordinance; and
2) that the materials used be in compliance with the Land Use Ordinance;
second by Ditsler. Motion passed with all in favor.
The split rail fence was approved by consensus, since it complied with the requirements of the Land Use Ordinance.
•2. Repair of a storage shed and construction of an addition to the shed at 509 N. Live Oak Street: After review of the application, the motion was made by Ditsler to approve the permit to repair the storage shed and to construct an 18' x 18' addition to the shed at 509 N. Live Oak Street, with the following conditions:
2) that the materials used be in compliance with the Land Use Ordinance;
second by Anderson. Motion passed with all in favor.
•3. Construction of two ponds in Round Top Oaks Subdivision: Motion by Zeltwanger to approve the construction of two ponds in the front of Round Top Oaks Subdivision; second by Ditsler. Motion passed with all in favor.
•4. Add "Bed and Breakfast" use to the residence at 230 Days End Road: Motion by Anderson to approve adding the use "Bed and Breakfast" to the residence at 230 Days End Road, with the following conditions:
second by Ditsler. Motion passed with all in favor.
•5. Permanent sign at Village Green: Katherine Druckman was present to represent the item. After reviewing the drawings, and discussing the height with the applicant, the motion was made by Anderson to approve the sign as submitted; second by Ditsler. Motion passed with all in favor.
•6. Setting a standing meeting day for the Architectural Review Board: After discussion, Chairman Albers set the policy that the ARB will meet at 5:30 on the Sunday immediately preceding the regular Town Council meeting, except when it falls on a national holiday weekend; in which case it will meet the preceding Sunday.
