ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW BOARD MEETING 

November 20, 2006

      The meeting was called to order by Chairman Charlie Anderson at 7:02 p.m. in the Town Hall.

      Board members present: Chairman Charlie Anderson, members Gerry Anderson, Scotty Lynch, Jeannette Burger

      Board members absent: Billy Howk, Alternate Deborah Patch

       The City Secretary read the minutes of the October 16, 2006 meeting. Motion by Burger to approve the minutes as read; second by Lynch. Motion passed with all in favor.

The Board considered the following agenda items:

•1.      Sign for Botts Title: Linda Stall from Botts Title was present to represent the item. After discussion of whether a second sign on the end of the building is necessary, a motion was made by Burger to approve the permit to install the sign requested by Botts Title on the front of the building located at 123 East Mill Street, with the condition that it have a matte finish; second by Anderson. Motion passed with all in favor. Ms. Stall indicated that a request for a sign on the end of the building may be made at a later date.

•2.      Other Business: Alderman Pancho Howze spoke with the Board about enforcement of the "Light and Glare" ordinance and presented examples of shielded and unshielded lighting.

There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 7:30 p.m.
